Hello! Well as you can see, I have been sidetracked! I had to though. Really. I have always wanted to use some of lion brands Amazing yarn but it's a little pricey for me. I went to Fred Meyer and as I was cruising past the tiny little yarn section I saw a sale sign. Buy two get one free. I fingered it and hemmed and hawed and finally gave in to the wants. This color scheme is called Regatta. I also splurged and bought three rolls of Rainforest. Beautiful. Three shades of green with some yellow. My faves. So yes, I went a bit crazy. I'm happy though and enjoying the scarf making. I only have one and I don't much care for it. Now I'll have two beauties! I am still working on my afghan, I just finished sewing another section of six green squares to the main part and am now starting six orange squares. So more updating of that later when I have more to show.
Lovely pic, eh! My son can't hold still while taking a picture so it's a tad blurry and I look like a dork cuz I freeze up if someone gets near me with a camera but I wanted a picture of my pooches sleeping by me. We actually got some snow here in Idaho and the dogs played off and on all day. Penelope walked around scooping snow up in her mouth a lot. In between jaunts outside I would get a towel and wipe their feet and dry them off and they would curl up and nap. Sweet.
Well that's whats been up here and now I'm off to work a little more on my scarf and later tonight I'll settle down to some grandala square making. Have a good one!

Hello! I'm back with a small update on my grandala
square afghan. I have only just finished sewing the
first set of 36 squares together and started the next
set there in green. Unfortunately I have spent several
days being ill and so has my son. I'm on the mend
though and ready to resume work on this project.
I think I have the order figured out on how I'll
add each set so I think I'm good to go. Doing well
on not getting sidetracked so far! See you soon!

Grandala Squares Update
Hello!!!! Well I have been busy on my grandala squares. I have a sketch done of the layout of the squares for the afghan and I finished one set of squares. I'm going to join them together then start the next set. I'm being a good girl and sewing ends in as I go. I've learned if I leave too much at the end then I get overwhelmed and then lazy and the project doesn't get finished. I'm really loving making these which helps as I do get bored very fast. I have even turned my head away from other patterns so as not to get distracted, that's not easy for me! I don't really make new years resolutions but if I had to it would be to finish a project before starting another. ( yeah that's gonna happen)! Hee Hee! So that's where I'm at. Super excited to start joining and then lay it on the bed to get an idea of how many sets I will need. I'll be back to post pics of that in the next day or two! Thanks for visiting!

Technical difficulties!
I'm having issues with my laptop and am not familiar enough with my xoom to do pics from it so I haven't been able to post. I just bought the xoom manual somebody finally had the sense to put out and my brother is going to help me sort my laptop out very soon. It's my daughter's eleventh b-day today and I have a lot to do. I also want to get Christmas Decs down and out and get the house back to normal. Love Xmas but I have to say I'm ready for parties to be over with. Hope everyone had a lovely Xmas and I'll be back hopefully very soon! My fingers are itching to try a couple of patterns I saw yesterday, at Colour in a simple life. A bobble daisy square and a bobble granny.
The granny is so pretty and I really really want to try it. Perhaps a row here and there in between squares for my afghan. I really should not look at blogs while in the middle of a project, I just get distracted by all the beautiful inspiration out there! I do plan on trying the bobble granny, it is quite unique and also looks like a great stash buster. So have a great day and I'll see you soon!
